This assignment provides diverse business exposure to LV equipment technology, design, and manufacturing. This position will be located in Bielsko-Biala, Poland with occasional travel required to global GE plants.
You will lead the identification, scoping, and execution of LV equipment cost reduction projects.
  • Interaction with manufacturing, sourcing, and system engineering personnel to identify new cost out opportunities
  • Participation in global idea generation sessions
  • Conduct design feasibility studies to validate cost out concepts
  • Perform financial analyses to quantify project savings
  • Develop and manage execution of design plans, test plans, and project schedules
  • Interaction with manufacturing or vendors to coordinate prototype / sample build
  • Manage resolution of technical issues including root cause analysis
  • Lead project reviews to ensure design intent and regulatory approval
  • BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and meet schedules, financial goals, and commercial requirements
  • Ability to work in stress conditions and to lead multiple projects
  • Working knowledge of NPI (New Product Introduction), Change Management (C-change), Design For Six-Sigma, and Design For Reliability processes
  • Minimum 3 years product design experience especially.
  • Green Belt certified.
  • CAD experience with Pro-Engineer.
  • Working knowledge with MS office SW, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Experience in product design.
