Role Summary/Purpose	The financial accountant supports the segment controller on SEC financial & US Fed regulatory reporting for the GE Capital Bank AG group entities that form the Factoring reporting unit. The role also supports project implementation and the annual SOX certification.
Essential Responsibilities	Support monthly and quarterly US GAAP headquarter reporting by preparing analysis and explain variances and working closely with GE Capital Germany consolidation team Own accounting and documentation of allowance for losses per US GAAP, explain STAT to US GAAP variances Support the quarterly US Federal Reserve regulatory reporting Own SOX 404 annual review process including preparation TOD documentation and TOE testing Coordinate and improve monthly account reconciliation process, review backup documentation and ensure compliance with 8 GE corporate criteria Verify and approve accounting journals, system set-ups and responsibilities, and complete G/L user acceptance testing in case changes are implemented Support optimization, standardization, simplification and documentation of financial reporting processes Support KPMG US GAAP and SOX audit and provide requested documentation
Qualifications/Requirements	University degree in finance or accounting 3-5 years of experience in a Financial Accounting/Analysis position, ideally in a financial services business or audit experience with the Big Four Good general financial and US GAAP accounting skills Advanced MS Excel skills and strong general IT system affinity Language skills: English (fluent) and German Self-starter with a positive „can do“ attitude Strong sense of urgency & able to perform well under pressure Strong process focus, passion for simplification and improvement.
