Our Shop Manager is moving to a new role within GE and we are looking for an individual to Manage the Shop covering Machining and Test & Assembly areas. The role is responsible for product realization of new product and repair on mainly offshore surface Christmas trees, well head components and tools, premium threaded connections and associated specialized processes e.g. coating. Inventory and warehouse management. Facility.
  • Leadership and Coordination of Shop/Warehouse Team (~10).
  • Manage Shop process from new job request to job delivery acceptance.
  • Job planning, coordination and execution
  • Build job execution document packages living up to relevant specifications and standards.
  • Secure On Time Delivery and On Cost Delivery from Shop
  • Team, facility and equipment utilization management and continuous adjustment
  • Implement relevant planning methods and -tools.
  • Tie into regional Shop network to absorb and sell capacity as needed.
  • Raw material inventory mix review and adjustment
  • Coordinate select subcontractor processes.
  • Continuous monitoring and reporting of order status and other relevant KPIs to stake holders
  • Provide Shop input for overall Business Planning
  • Close collaboration with internal customers, select suppliers and support functions.
  • Manage technical aspects of the Premium Connection business.
  • Promote and ensure strong compliance to EHS and QA requirements and expectations.
  • Mechanical or Marine Engineering Degree
  • Practical experience with mechanical repair work with machine, weld and pressure test elements. Relevant knowledge on materials.
  • Working knowledge of, or proven ability to work to relevant standards such as e.g. API6A or 16A
  • Min. 3-5 year experience with described products, similar processes and managing a team.
  • Team Player with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong EHS and QA focus.
  • English both written and verbally at a professional level
  • Strong IT user
  • Experience ensuring Work Shop job compliance to Customer, Company and Industry Standards. (E.g. API/ISO/CECR).
  • Working knowledge of Premium Connection production, e.g. Vallourec & Mannesmann or other.
  • MRP and inventory management.
  • Experience working in AS400 or Oracle, Excel, Outlook, ePIMs, MS Project or Primavera.
