Our client is a multinational financial services firm with European operations headquartered in Dublin. Given the continued focus on international compliance issues, our client is looking to hire a Regional Privacy Officer for the EMEA region.

The role holder will report to the Chief Compliance Officer for EMEA and will work closely with local compliance teams throughout the Region. Key responsibilities include: - analysing EU Privacy laws and devising a privacy strategy for the Region - rolling out the Regional privacy strategy including staff training and communication - performing risk assessments in each country and tailoring the requirements at country level where necessary - supporting local Compliance Officers to deal with data issues and carry out local privacy awareness campaigns - leading new privacy initiatives throughout the Region. In order to be considered, candidates should have: - a minimum of 5 years' experience in a privacy or data focused role at a senior management level - degree qualified. Legal qualification and CIPP an advantage. - strong technical understanding of European and Middle Eastern privacy laws - experience advising large corporates on privacy issues or working in-house in a specialist role within this area.
