An excellent opportunity has arisen
for a senior equity trading buy-side individual to join a large global
asset manager based in Dublin. This highly regarded global trading team
requires someone whom has experience within manual and automated
trading.
Responsibilities include:

- Transmitting equity orders to brokers for execution;
- Execution of FX forward transactions;
- Establishment and management of broker relationships;
- Monitoring of best execution quality and transaction cost analysis;
- Monitoring of trades in different time zones (limit setting, order amendment, etc.) in conjunction with the broker(s);
- Liaising closely with traders/ portfolio advisors to improve trading strategies;
- Providing key parties with daily trading information;
- Ensuring prices are updated and recorded in proprietary systems correctly;
- Establishing and maintaining clear policies and procedures for the effective and successful operation of the Trading Team’s activities.
- Working on the implementation of new systems as they impact on the Trading Team’s activities;
- Ensuring new and existing trading staff are properly trained;
- Liaising with Compliance Department to ensure all errors and breaches are reported and resolved in a timely manner.
- 6+ years Equity, Future, FX Forwards experience with brokers;
- Strong organisational (Project management) skills, problem solving abilities and attention to detail;
- Prior experience in writing and implementing policies and procedures and the management of same essential;
- Strong verbal and written communication ability;
- Strong IT skills including knowledge of trading and dealing software providers;
- Fluency in English (French/English Bilingual would be an advantage);
- Good knowledge of Reuters, Bloomberg and Microsoft Office essential;
- Proactive professional approach.
