Role Summary/Purpose	The Senior Accountant will process and report US GAAP financial data and documentation for GE businesses in Hungary
Essential Responsibilities	 Manage and perform month end close to ensure submission to deadlines where applicable  Manage general accounting activities for allocated entities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals,  Completing / checking VAT and other tax returns  Assist in quarterly balance sheet review and prepare variance analysis as necessary  Ensure all assigned account reconciliations are prepared and reviewed accurately  Support the statutory team in preparation of the statutory accounts for the respective GE Businesses  Work as a financial partner for other GE businesses  Support with ad-hoc projects and other management accounting tasks as necessary  Interact and respond to auditor queries, internal and external as necessary  Support data requests and audit processes  Evaluate and improve finance processes. Participate in accounting initiatives and improvement projects.  Coach and mentor junior team members  Understand GE policies and ensure accounting practices comply with GE policies  Build and maintain strong working relationships with the local GE Businesses
Qualifications/Requirements	 Finance/Accounting degree or equivalent  Qualified/part qualified accountant  Solid experience (3- 5 years) in accounting and proven ability to operate in a diverse operational and cultural environment  Being flexible and open for learning new tasks  Proactive, ability to operate effectively with minimal guidance  Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities  Analytical with well-developed problem solving skills  Strong system skills (MS Office including Excel, Oracle knowledge is a plus)  Experience in usage of integrated accounting software would be an advantage  Strong knowledge of English both spoken and written
