Client Services Representative (Job Number: 1315299)

Description

Job Purpose:



Provides professional client service to all BNY Mellon Asset Servicing Clients of Frankfurt Branch (Depotbank/KAG and Custody Clients, Investment Managers and Client Advisors) on a day-to-day basis. Ensure timely resolution of all issues and inquiries raised by Clients and all operational departments of BNY Mellon including but not limited to Corporate Actions, Income, Tax, Cash Payments and Receipts, account set up. Monitor the completion/settlement of transactions (cash and securities) and foreign exchanges with special attention to exceptions (fails, overdrafts and suspicious balances). On a daily basis complete the necessary checks, risk management controls and co-ordinate the workflow within the team of Client Service Representatives, prioritising according to trade volumes, complexity, sensitivity and risk. Help train new Junior Client Service Representatives (training on the job).

Responsibilities:

Provide day to day operational support to Clients ensuring their needs and concerns are

handled professionally and expediently (same day query handling).

Develop and improve Client relationships including taking ownership of all operational

issues.

attend regular service reviews with Clients when possible, follow-up on action points and service enhancement requests. Increase understanding through show and tell visits and calls.

Ensure all Client queries are logged on the appropriate system, providing management

reporting on over standard queries where required.

Ensure all exceptions are investigated and resolved within required deadline and

communicate this to Clients via daily reports.

Interface with other BNY Mellon departments (including but not limited to Securities Lending,

Treasury, Derivatives) to ensure timely resolution of cross-departmental issues.

Maintain accurate desktop procedures and standing instructions for an assigned group of

Clients and ensure the group is aware of and comply with these procedures.

Monitoring of internal risk management controls including systematic approval of foreign

exchanges and currency movements and ensuring that the checklist is completed daily.

Minimize number of errors through following the established control process.

Identification of improved processing through automation, cost reduction or revenue

generation initiatives throughout the section with a particular focus on a designated

responsibility.

Assist with on-the-job-training for all new team members.

Make sure all work is in compliance with various audit requirements and BNY Mellon

procedures. Identify and address potential audit gaps.

Academic/Professional Qualifications (or equivalent qualifiers)

Proven custody/Depotbank/fund manager experience, preferably performing a client-facing

role (1-3 years)

Apprenticeship and formal education as Bankkaufmann or equivalent
