Expert Static/Securities Data Management (Job Number: 1310730)
Description
Work with line-management on the rollout of adhoc projects.
Work with line-management on the rollout of services to new funds and to ensure the smooth transition of additional centralised functions to SDM.
Attend meetings with internal Teams and external clients to discuss open issues and service levels where minutes are kept outlining decisions and action points.
Support the take on of new business into the team for existing clients serviced and new business. Expected to play a critical role in shaping and defining operational model
Attend workshops, to understand the details of new projects and the impact to the SDM team
Ensure the Static/Securities Data Management (SDM) project list is maintained on a monthly basis.
Distribute workload and responsibilities from adhoc projects to people with sufficient experience and capability.
Hold regular meetings with key stakeholders involved in projects.
Identify and communicate new staffing requirements to line-management.
Identify and communicate training/development needs to line-management to ensure all staff have the required skills to achieve their objectives.
Provide feedback to line-management during One-to-One meetings on the department, including staff, work in progress and any developments or trends.
Occasional Duties
Ensure staff receive required systems training and are familiar with relevant processes and controls as per agreed guidelines and procedures.
Plan and implement regular cross training within the area to ensure minimal dependency on individual team members.
Ensure no material audit issues arise by identifying, reporting and addressing potential risk areas.
Ensure the appropriate testing for new projects is carried out to ensure the minimal impact to the team.
Ensure audit, client, compliance, management and trustee queries are highlighted, thoroughly investigated and responded to in a timely manner.
Work with line-management on ad-hoc projects and initiatives to ensure agreed client service levels are met.
Qualifications
Key skills / experience
Experience or working knowledge of asset pricing.
Signifcant work (> 5 years) experience in a relevant area of Financial Services.
Sound technical knowledge of Market Data, Securities Administration and/or valuations functions.
Proficiency in using Bloomberg, Xentis, MS Excel/Word and other relevant office systems.
Proactive and focused attitude to work and an ability to constantly meet deadlines.
Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Dependable, flexible and the ability to lead by example.
Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
Professional approach to work and personal appearance.
