Allianz
Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) is the Allianz center for
corporate and specialist risk, servicing clients worldwide across the
whole spectrum of marine, aviation, corporate and industrial insurance.
Job Purpose/Role
You
are heading the general accounting and closing activities of AGCS AG
interacting with and managing eleven branches around the world. Our
external and regulatory reporting is steered by you and adheres to the
highest quality standards. We operate in a fast close, multi gaap
environment and are looking forward to your contributions in further
developing our sophisticated set-up. You will find ample room leaving
your mark in our day-to-day operations and in various projects, e.g. new
branch set-ups, mergers and regulatory or compliance initiatives. A
team of seven highly qualified accounting experts is reporting into you.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements for our general accounting function in a multi gaap environment (IFRS, HGB, Tax, Solvency II)
- Steer the production of our annual report and our regulatory reporting
- Build up and lead Solvency II compliant reporting and disclosure
- Provide meaningful insights into our financial results to senior management and various other finance functions, e.g. corporate finance, controlling
- Liaise and successfully manage relations with external stakeholders including our shareholder, auditors and regulators
- Develop and harmonize global accounting practices and guidelines and oversee their implementation
- Ensure compliance to external regulations and internal guidelines at all times
- Embed a high performance culture with a focus on developing your team and each team member
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
- Several years of successful management experience
- 7+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in (re-)insurance or financial services
- Experienced in working independently, under pressure and in a diverse environment
- Project experiences, ability to think in processes
- University degree or comparable degree
- Fluent in German and English, written and spoken
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and HGB
- Outstanding communication skills
- Organizational and negotiation skills
- Pronounced analytical skills and quick intellectual grasp
