Turbomachinery design team is responsible for Compressor, Combustor and Turbine modules of M601 and H80 engines. Responsibilities involve component/module design and definition, manufacturing and field support. Design team cooperates with other functions to assure product definition meets all related requirements, including stress, life, material, performance, producibility and maintenance.
Manager is responsible for daily operation of the Design team, execution of projects and processes, as well as for growth and team development. Manager has direct reports.


  • Execute with minimal guidance the analysis, design, test and/or integration projects related to assigned components
  • Manage team workload to meet business priorities, including execution of projects, manufacturing and field support
  • Report projects/process status on a regular basis to manager and timely communicate priority and technical issues
  • Assure all applicable DOA (Design Approved Organization) and company procedures are followed
  • Develop training plan for the team and organize/coordinate training execution
  • Evaluate team members performance and implement performance improvement plans
  • Propose, plan and execute initiatives aimed at improvement of team operations, including on-time delivery and first time yield
  • Assure proper documentation of technical work
  • Recommend approach to meet the technical and program requirements; formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems
  • Provide technical and process guidance for the team
  • Coordinate project/processes with other R&D teams and company departments
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
  • Demonstrated substantial professional experience in area of gas turbine design and manufacture
  • Familiarity with change management process and nonconformance process
  • Familiarity with CAD systems, preferrably NX
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to influence others and create cohesive teams
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Proficiency in English language
  • Familiarity with applicable EASA CS-E legislation requirements
  • Experience in international environment
