The Oracle ERP DBA will serve as technical expert responsible for the design / implementation of data base technology and set / administer standards for overall organization's relational database structure / architecture for our ERP environment. In this role you will research database technology, determine requirements, propose changes, and develop migration / implementation plans.
Sets and administers standards for overall organization's relational database structure/architecture
• Provide database architecture and technical project leadership for selected new development projects;
• Maintain, tune, monitor and administer both development and production Oracle applications databases and application-tier technology components.
• Collaborate with other Apps DBAs and Oracle Applications Architects to select and plan the deployment of new technical features for the various Oracle ERP environments at GE Healthcare.
• Researches database technology, determines business requirements, proposes changes, and develops migration and implementation plans, may execute projects based on these activities
• Ensures that plans for database technologies integrate effectively with other aspects of the technical infrastructure
• Advises management on technology purchases and on future projects or environment upgrades/modifications
• Four years of Oracle DBA experience
• Minimum of four years working with Oracle Apps 11i/R12
• Minimum of two years working with Oracle RAC on 10g/11g/12c
• Strong knowledge of Unix (Solaris/ Linux) processing environment
• Excellent project management skills and people management skills in a team environment
• Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
• Very effective verbal and written communication skills in both business and technical areas
• Proven ability to maintain leading edge skills in a rapidly changing information systems environment
• Drive to lean new technology and build in-depth expertise
• Analytic, creative and business-focused problem solver
• BS Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent
• Green Belt certified or statistical data analysis background
• Lean experience
• Oracle RAC experience
• Veritas & ASM Clustered File System experience
• Eight or more years of IT experience
