The
Commercial Finance Analyst provides support to the regional sales teams
of the European Industrial Solutions business with the aim target to
drive profitability and growth across the regions. This includes
planning, risk analysis, monitoring sales and costs in the regions,
deals reviews and working with cross-functions to ensure compliance in
all processes
The role will report directly into the European Commercial Finance Manager.
Assist in Risk activities such as customer financials reviews, risk rating, definition of credit limits and/or payment terms
Help in the review of new deals, identify potential
contractual risks and ensure alignment and issuance of Bank Guarantees
and LoC always insuring full compliance in all processes
Support Commercial Finance Manager in all planning cycles
including Growth Playbook (3-year Plan), SII (1-year Plan) and OP
(operating plan/budget)
Participate on weekly collection calls for principal EMEA
regions, give recommendation to collections and sales teams and take
decisions on actions (Payment Plans, Legal, Block of accounts, etc)
Ensure fluid communication with commercial team to keep
track of major projects and anticipate potential credit limit needs and
T&Cs deviations
Gather market and economic data as needed
Ad-hoc reports on Orders/Sales/Margin/Risk
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration
At least 5-6 years of experience in finance with a commercial focus
Ability to work across functions/ teams
Strong analytical skills: able to link financial results to operational performance
Excellent communication - with the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner
Solid PC skills: experience with financial
systems/applications (i.e SAP, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel
skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables)
Fluent in English
Proficiency in Spanish, French and/or German will be also valuable
