The Surface Engineering Manager Norway will lead and manage the team of engineers located in Stavanger and Bergen. Lead the design of products, modification / improvement to existing equipment and engineering support for all equipment maintained or overhauled in the workshop for the Surface wellhead and flow control product line.
The position requires superior people leadership skills to integrate all aspects of the Surface Engineering organization located throughout Norway.
  • Provide leadership and direction for assigned tasks and personnel.
  • Establish team goals within framework of overall engineering platform objectives.
  • Maintain broad awareness of efforts within group to ensure technical quality excellence, timely completion of work, appropriate use of resources and responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Effectively communicate and drive company initiatives through organization.
  • Facilitate communication of technical and commercial information between functions.
  • Communicate technical, organizational and business issues to upper management and to our customers.
  • Define roles and responsibilities for assigned personnel.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and participate in salary planning.
  • Promote professional growth through timely performance feedback and coaching.
  • Ensure company compliance initiatives and training requirements are implemented.
  • Ensure line of balance (LOB) metrics are maintained and satisfied.

  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar in addition to substantial experience in an engineering position, as well as proven experience in a leadership role

  • PC proficiency, strong technical skills in Pro-E, Autocad, Matcad, Microsoft products as : Excel, word, PowerPoint etc.
