| The Software Distribution Analyst is responsible for executing
the tasks required to automatically deploy software applications,
updates and/or patches to endpoint devices within a customer
environment. The Software Distribution Analyst uses a variety of tools
to perform the electronic software updates and also must perform
detailed problem determination in order to repair and rerun any failed
electronic updates. The Software Distribution Analyst must also produce
detailed reports on the results of the job’s execution. Responsibilities: - receiving approved software distribution requests - completing pre-distribution analysis to ensure the request includes the necessary information to fulfill the process - validating target lists or run queries from software distribution tool or other account resources to determine distribution target devices - creating/moving software packages into the distribution tool - scheduling distribution of software packages to target audience through distribution tool within the required duration and time frame - monitors the distribution throughout the distribution life cycle - collecting Distribution Results and analyzing them - escalating or reporting any issues that may compromise the distribution time frames or success - reviewing software distribution reports and analyzing trends - performing Software Distribution Remediation on unsuccessful endpoints per account procedures - ensuring software distribution standards, procedures and controls are consistently followed - following Change and Problem management processes/procedures - completing incident reports for all incidents within the appropriate incident management tool - interfacing with other technical support teams - analyzing and implementing frequent process improvements - identifying the requirement for maintenance of software distribution tools - updating and creating detailed and accurate documentation where applicable Skills: - understanding of the Enterprise Software Management Tools such as SCCM, Active Directory, SMS, Radia, Tivoli, TPM, TEM, Altiris, or Marimba - understanding of patch management tools such as WSUS, TPM, or Lumensio (LEMSS) - understanding of Desktop Operating System Concepts, especially Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, VDI, Linux and Mac OS - good working knowledge of office tools (e.g., Excel) for collecting and manipulating distribution results - excellent teamwork skills balanced with ability to work alone - understanding problem and change management tools - excellent written and oral communication skills Extras: - real possibilities of self-development and promotion - working on international projects in multicultural teams - private Medical Centre package & Insurance package - Multisport Card | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
