YOU are an experienced HR Manager with specific expertise in labor law.
YOU have excellent negotiation skills and are familiar with the dynamics of negotiations with works councils and unions.

THE OPPORTUNITY
YOU will support long-term business development and growth in manufacturing in Germany by assessing strategic business objectives, preparing an adequate labor relations strategy, planning, executing and supporting its implementation while ensuring legal compliance with German labor legislation. As Manager Labor Relations at the Philip Morris Manufacturing GmbH Berlin you will cooperate with the German works council and work closely with the Munich Headquarter as well as the manufacturing site in Dresden.
Specifically YOU will

  • Define employee labor relations strategies according to business objectives and translate this into feasible plans
  • Monitor local labor legislation and jurisdiction
  • Liaise with the law department to solve general or individual legal cases
  • Ensure a professional and smooth relationship with unions and works council
  • Prepare new works council agreements or required changes
  • Actively support the company’s compliance and risk assessment activities
  • Maximize effective communication on employee sensitive issues
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experienced HR manager with either a university degree in law or business administration, engineering or any social science plus a postgraduate degree in law
  • +6 year professional experience as HR business partner with significant exposure to labor relation aspects
  • Experienced in interaction with unions and works councils in Germany
  • Experienced in large scale organizational and cultural change programs
  • Proven conceptual and change management skills
  • Ability  to transform employee relation strategies into feasible plans
  • Fluent in English and German
