Position Purpose

In our Global Product Specification (GPS) Department based in Trier there is one open position as Global Product Specification Manager (m/f) as soon as possible to fill. You will be responsible to manage a team of GPS Coordinators as well as to provide comprehensive data of the highest integrity and global uniformity for Product Bills of Materials within the SAP system via the creation and maintenance of materials.

In our Global Product Specification (GPS) Department based in Trier there is one open position as Global Product Specification Manager (m/f) as soon as possible to fill. You will be responsible to manage a team of GPS Coordinators as well as to provide comprehensive data of the highest integrity and global uniformity for Product Bills of Materials within the SAP system via the creation and maintenance of materials.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the timely translation of information from Blend Template, Project Status Reports, Packaging Guidelines and other formal sources to create / maintain production-ready Bills of Materials within the SAP system in collaboration with the respective R&D functions
- Establish, maintain and continuously improve the department specific processes & procedures as well as working documents and internal guidelines
- Collaborate with the other members of the GPS management team to develop & maintain compatible processes throughout the organization
- Maintain and manage the global business processes between other R&D, company functions as well as factories to ensure maximum operating efficiency
- Resolve any issues of non-compliance independently and identify long-term process gaps and information flow problems in order to make recommendations for improvements
- Analyze team´s performance and implement appropriate solutions
- Developing team through coaching, appraisal and feedback sessions
- Direct, organize and coordinate the implementation (data load) of specifications to the system through any remaining / new JTI facilities
Qualifications & Experience
- University degree in business administration, economics or comparable commercial business experience & training
- 3-5 years’ work experience within Global Product Specification Maintenance in SAP as well as in leading and managing teams
Skills, Competencies & Languages
- Extensive and detailed knowledge of product specification management preferably related to tobacco product manufacturing processes and comprehensive materials
- Detailed knowledge of cigarette and packaging materials and their production processes is a plus
- Sound communication and people management skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex planning issues
- Excellent planning and organizing skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize team´s workload
- Effective cross-functional communication skills and a good understanding of business requirements and the company's strategic direction
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Excellent IT literacy (SAP system, MS Office applications)
