About the Role

As part of the EMEA Technical Support team located in Lauttasaari Helsinki, the Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support and professional services for Stonesoft’s expanding customer base globally. This role will play a critical role in helping the company maintain its industry-leading 95% customer satisfaction and retention rates.

Primary Responsibilities

- Provide technical support to customers and partners via email, phone and remote sessions and using the Stonesoft support software (Remedy)
- Handle RMA/DOA cases for the Stonesoft appliances
- Escalate severe technical and non-technical issues
- Create best practices documents, such as FAQs and how-to documents
- Provide product installation and consultation services
- Stay current on industry trends, along with new products and features
- Participate in product training material development and delivery of product training courses (depending on the candidate’s personal qualifications and previous experience)

Qualifications

- Strong technical background, especially in network technologies
- Possess a high level of initiative and responsibility
- Good communication skills
- A team player
- Degree in Computer Science or Information Security, or equivalent work experience
- Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP and LAN technologies
- Excellent Finnish and English language skills (both written and spoken)
- Good knowledge of network security solutions (Firewall, IPsec VPN, IDS/IPS, SSL VPN)
- Troubleshooting experience in solving complex technical problems
- Customer-oriented approach

We also appreciate experience in the following:

- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Hands-on experience with configuring and maintaining network/network security solutions
- Willingness to participate in product training course material development
- Good presentation and pedagogical skill
