The main objective with the position is to secure the development of the Oncology business throughout the Swedish healthcare regions/county councils. Overall responsibilities are to identify relevant stakeholders at the regional and county council level to ensure Oncology drugs are included in the 6 regions (listings and budgets), to coordinate horizon-scanning in collaboration with Gen Med, together with the right stakeholders find the optimal solutions for structured introduction of Novartis Oncology new drugs and indications. Primary key customers are Divisional Heads Oncology, RCC, Pharmaceutical Units at CC and RCC collaborations SKL. Be oncology responsible for County Councils in close collab-oration with EAM Gen Med. The External Affairs Manager is also responsible for the inter-nal alignment around the regional and primary key stakeholders within BU Oncology and is mandated to use internal resources, like GMO, Medical / MSL, market access, patient strate-gy and franchises. He or she needs to have an understanding of the country political environment and oncology healthcare structure. Build and maintain relations with key stakeholders for oncology business within the Regions/ County Councils and coordinate activities with these customers. Proactively identify business opportunities with regional customers and when needed, act as project leader or delegate these task to find appropriate solutions. Secure optimal introduction of new brands and indications throughout the Regions/ County Councils i e through horizon scannings, qualified support in innovative pricing agreements, work for patient knowledge around clinical trials within RCC. Overview of key brands and pipe-line and Novartis position towards the regional customers. Be the oncology responsible for horizon scanning process. Spread knowledge/insights of key external activities to the Swedish Oncology organization. Alignment between GenMed and BU Oncology. Reporting from customer meetings in LINX. Attend relevant LIF groups (Cancer group and Orphan Drug group).
University degree in science and/or business • Advanced degree in business, bioscience, and/or law preferred English Proven ability to understand and clearly communicate scientific and economic topics • Proven ability to develop trust-based relationships with key customers/ stakeholders • Ability to manage relationships with a high number of external customers • Well developed understanding of regulatory environment, including degree of market regulation centralization/regionalization, and local environments • Well developed understanding of drug product P&R and Listing processes, including processes for clinical guidelines and formularies • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
