The internship in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience working in a global organization interacting across various GE businesses in Germany. You will be involved in a wide area of finance activities enabling you to get strong understanding of different areas within Corporate Finance.
You will be intermediate between different departments (Business FP&A, Controllership, Project Management, Marketing and Sales) in order to perform the following duties:

  • Own assigned processes within financial planning
  • Support finance leadership team to prepare business updates
  • Support month end closing activities, working within deadlines
  • Performance analysis compared to targets, prior year/quarter
  • Base cost analysis including in depth understanding of the drivers
  • Participate in certain projects (e.g. margin analysis)
  • Other ad-hoc activities as required within Finance functions
  • Business school student (4th semester onwards) or recent graduate or similar
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills
  • Willingness to improve things and strong motivation
  • Availability as soon as possible
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Effective communication skills
  • Self–starter and ability to multi task
  • Record of working to tight deadlines under pressure
  • Fluency in German & English is a must (both spoken and written)
  • Highly proficient in MS office, especially Excel, PowerPoint

    This internship can be preparatory to the selection for the FMP -Financial Management Program- GE’s entry-level training program for high potential individuals seeking a fast paced career in Finance.
