A new permanent job opportunity has
arisen for a proven Risk Manager with a leading global financial
services organisation in Dublin city centre. This role reports to the
Chief Risk Officer and will be a vital part of the Risk team.

Responsibilities:
- The Risk Manager will contribute to the promotion and understanding of the risk function within the company
- Contribute to ensuring consistent and continuous monitoring of risk within the Dublin operation.
- Responsibility for one direct report; Risk Analyst
- Manage, monitor and coordinate mitigation treatment of all risk types (i.e. Credit, Market, Operational, Insurance, Strategic)
- Support current risk policy and governance model and devise enhancements
- Produce high quality MI to inform business and drive improvement action
- Promotes culture of sound risk awareness within the region, incl. linkage of strategy, day-to-day
- Internal Controls Framework: Monitoring and Management of processes to ensure that all processes and controls are up to date and to drive process reviews as required
- Adherence to Data Classification & Ownership.
- Providing training workshops to all staff members on classifying documentation. Implement rigorous testing and follow up of any data integrity issues,
- Audit local lending files to ensure that they are compliant with regulatory requirements in all jurisdictions.
- Conduct themed internal reviews on a quarterly basis covering all departments
- Spearhead testing and review of Business Continuity Planning
- Business Continuity Co-Ordinator Dublin, London, New York, and the Isle of Man
- Consistent, reliable and timely delivery of risk information to relevant decision-making bodies
- Compile CMB Quarterly Risk Report and present to senior management
- Provide training on Anti Money Laundering, Anti-Bribery & Corruption
- Update and review the Total Risk Profile.
- Work closely with CRO for annual policy reviews
Candidate Requirements:
- Advanced university degree or similar professional qualification in risk management, insurance, economics, finance or law.
- 5 years’ + experience in the insurance/banking industry
- Working experience in an international environment
- Must be comfortable working with all levels of management and work autonomously
- Deep Knowledge of General Insurance/Banking /Financial Services Business
- Experience within the Financial Services industry and excellent knowledge of Operational Risk
- Management, Internal Controls and Compliance.
- Solid finance/controlling/operations or risk engineering background
- Some travel may be required
