Position Description

We are currently accepting applications to the Graduate Training Programme starting in 2014 August.

The Technology Training Programme is designed to develop highly skilled and motivated technologists who partner with our businesses to solve complex problems through the use of Technology.

The Technology Training Programme is held twice a year in February and August and the curriculum includes intensive technology training, orientation to Morgan Stanley, an overview of the securities industry, exposure to senior managers, professional skills workshops and a project addressing real business needs.

Throughout the recruiting process, candidate's skill sets and interests will be matched to appropriate hiring groups in challenging roles such as business application development, application infrastructure development and enterprise engineering.

AFTER THE TRAINING PROGRAMME
After the training hires will start to work full-time in one of the Technology teams in our BUDAPEST office.

Candidates are considered for either application development or infrastructure teams based on their academic experience/background, preference and skill sets demonstrated throughout the interview process.

Development Teams

Our development teams are tasked with designing, developing and maintaining applications used by our business units. Daily activities include meeting with clients to gather and analyze requirements; making system design decisions; evaluating, integrating and developing necessary software; and testing and deploying applications to production. Developing high performing low latency electronic trading systems across multiple asset classes, providing sophisticated risk management analytics and systems, and evolving complex workflows and life-cycle management capabilities across increasingly sophisticated products are just some of the many projects available for developers within our technical organisations.

DEVELOPMENT track explores a broad range of software engineering technologies with the itention of developing excellent design and programming skills. The curriculum includes intensive and advanced work in C++, Java, Linux/Unix, Windows, Perl, .NET, C#, object-oriented analysis and design, relational databases, middleware, XML/SOAP, messaging, systems architecture, systems integration and firm-specific tools.

Skills Required

- Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related science or engineering discipline
- Experience with at least one OO language: e.g. Java, C++ or C# database knowledge
- Operating system knowledge
- Experience in object-oriented development, good comprehension of data structures, algorithms and complexity theory
- Database and scripting skills
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, teamwork and analytical skills
- Good command of English
- Demonstrated interest in Technology

Skills Desired

Ideal candidates are fresh graduates or have maximum 2 year of relevant work experience

Outstanding academic record along with success in summer jobs, internships, and extracurricular activities
