Description

LICENSING/CUSTOMS: Ensure compliance to local EMEA Export regulations, while maximizing benefits and minimizing liabilities. Responsible for the development and maintenance of classification data for Customs and Licensing purposes to facilitate the shipment of company product or equipment across national boundaries. Interacts with Product Divisions to obtain necessary information to make appropriate Customs and Licensing classification determinations for Company Product, equipment and material. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement and provides general compliance training to ISM and SAP users.

Qualifications

Key Requirements:
-Research and classify parts to ensure the highest possible level of accuracy, and highest possible quality export documentation, as required by applicable export compliance regulations.
-Must be able to work with product and/or design engineers to interpret appropriate export classification based on technical evaluation of product.
-Focus of the position is strictly for export classification and export licence determination.
-Work with existing team to ensure all projects and daily workload are being completed and escalated to Management as needed.
-Prefer experience in the semiconductor industry supporting both capital equipment and spare parts.
-Ability to interpret US and EU rulings and appropriately apply export classification data to similar products, as applicable.
-Ability to quickly adjust to priorities to meet business needs.
-Capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing with time management and organization skills.
-Excellent on-line research skills a must.
-Ability to work in a team environment.
-General international trade experience and knowledge of the Customs Harmonised System would be desirable.
-Knowledge of international sanctions regimes would be helpful.
-Knowledge of information security systems and equipment (encryption) would be helpful.
-English fluency is a must. This is a critical requirement. English reading and writing skills are required to comprehend very technical materials covering regulations and product information.
