The Channel Marketing Manager will own the channel pipeline and will work closely with external and internal partners to generate quality and quantity of sales ready leads. He/she will manage a tightly integrated effort to discover, create, arouse, and satisfy customer needs. His/her job is to listen to the whole market (not just our customers), and bring back ideas that will grow the business.
Main Tasks
  • Drive strategy and understanding the key marketing tools that grow the channel revenue and sales to drive growth.
  • Own market information and strategy for the channel. Build in depth understanding of the channel customers pain points, product and service preferences. Establish market insights that have the potential to create competitive advantage for GE Lighting. Assist with competitive benchmarking and data collection as needed.
  • Establish the channel performance metrics and use analytics to identify performance gaps/ successes within channels. Work channel teams to assess solutions to close gap/ accelerate success.
  • Create and implement marketing campaigns that grow brand awareness, build credibility with channel customers and position GE Lighting as the trusted advisor in the lighting industry.
  • Identify risks and assess appropriate contingency plans; help teams respond to unexpected change.
  • Create strong processes and demonstrate effective project management skills to drive execution cross-functionally.
    Other Responsibilities
  • Accountable for delivering sales, margin and market share objectives.
  • Collaborate with the other team members on budget management, project management, creative development, and communication planning.
  • Provide innovative solutions and initiatives.
  • Manage objectives with rigorous metrics including ROI.
  • Work within Marketing organization and cross-functionally to achieve goals including but not limited to research, packaging, and digital initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with sales to develop business-building promotions.
  • Build the marketing database and leverage it to engage customers in the lead generation process.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in B2B marketing, sales or product management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or other related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a matrix, fast-paced, and competitive environment.
  • Affinity to excel in highly collaborative teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a high degree of autonomy to meet business metrics.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability grow and motivate a team as well as influence senior leaders internally and externally.
