Stress (Strength) and Life Analysis team is responsible for assuring that engine meets all stress, vibration and life requirements imposed by technical specifications, design practices and certification requirements. Team participates in projects and provides support to other functions in Engineering Department including Engine Designers, Systems and Chief Engineering Organization.
Lead Stress Engineer independently executes assigned projects in areas related to design, manufacture, test, certification and field support of Combustor. Also provides technical support to other team members, assures all applicable design standards and requirements are met and assures proper documentation of results and technical data. Specific tasks may include but are not limited to:



  • Heat transfer, stress and life analysis of Combustor components using FEM (Finite Element Method) and other methods
  • Support for engine certification programs, including preparation of Certification Plans and Certification Reports to demonstrate product compliance with EASA CS-E requirements
  • Development of test plans to measure stress, vibration and temperature, oversight of the test plans execution and post test data analysis
  • Evaluation of manufacturing nonconformance, and design change proposals, having influence on strength of components
  • Preparation of technical presentations, reports, documentation
  • Communication and presentation of the results to project manager and technical team
  • Active cooperation and coordination on projects with other R&D teams and departments
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering , Mechanical Engineering,
    or related disciplines
  • Demonstrated professional experience in area of stress and life analysis, preference in combustion field (minimum 3 years)
  • Experience in CAD and FEM tools, preferred familiarity with Ansys Workbench
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated engagement, team working spirit
  • Problem solving skills, self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in English language
  • Experience with working in international environment
  • Experience in a component testing and test data post-processing
  • Familiarity with EASA C-SE legislation requirements
