This is an outstanding opportunity to join this truly dynamic company that is leading the way in the asset management industry a Senior Financial Analyst based in Dublin.
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the team.   The primary responsibility for this role will be to assist the Global Head and Project Leaders to manage Projects.  This will include cost control, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
  • Monthly review of project activity to date, based on Timesheet reports, input from Project managers etc, review of month end accruals and ledger postings.
  • Monthly update of forecast model and spend item for each project .
  • Monthly/ad hoc detailed project spend reports to Project Managers, project steering committees etc.
  • Preparation of Capex report for global capital portfolio together with analysis, commentary and presentation to quarterly committee meetings
  • Preparation of financial analysis, budgets and forecasts including CBA, IRR, Scenario analysis etc.
  • Define criteria to determine success of Projects and/or KPI’s where relevant
  • Preparation of allocation models (legal and managerial)  for Projects including identifying costs (capex and opex) to be recharged and the cost drivers, identify allocation key (s), agree proposals with local Finance,  develop spreadsheet based model, maintain model on an ongoing basis, ensure journals are correctly coded in the ledger and inter company invoices prepared and circulated
  • On-going monitoring of key projects. Where projects are behind or not achieving objectives, carry out a financial assessment, review options available to get project back on track etc. 
  • Following the completion of the project or an agreed fixed period after the project, carry out a full financial review to establish if the objectives of the project has been achieved
  • Preparation of Fixed Asset upload file for assets to be moved from WIP to Live on completion of project or project phases
  • Depreciation budgeting and monitoring
  • Approvals re on boarding of resources for projects, including Statement of Work approvals, liaising with relevant Legal, HR and other colleagues as necessary
  • Reporting of resource statistics monthly and to relevant project managers
  • Provision of coding guidelines for Accounts Payable and Procurement teams
  • Liaise with finance teams globally for consolidated reporting of Project portfolio expenditure, forecasts etc
  • Establish reporting mechanism for Opex project globally
  • Assist other Team members with ad hoc and recurring activities.

  Experience and Qualifications
  • 10+ years experience in a similar role
  • Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills.
  • Qualified accountant.
  • Experience in the use of Peoplesoft would be a distinct advantage.
