Reporting
to the Plant Leader s/he will supervise and control warehouse
services/supplier and activities required to support production.
Taking control over the Supply Chain inventory level. Manage resources
and activities required for the completion of production plan, including
logistics, planning, expediting, MRP, procurement in order to support
manufacturing.
Lead the Materials management team’s activities (track and follow-up task allocation and completion);
Assess the team members’ training needs and organize the necessary trainings for them;
Continuously monitor and report European inventory, keep quarterly target and work on inventory reduction;
Support Indirect Sourcing Activities in Europe (Projects, MSA's Buying);
Interfacing with production, project management,
technology and external suppliers in order to schedule the receipt of
raw material to meet production demand;
Attend project meetings; kick off meetings, etc. for
critical projects as needed. Critical projects are identified by
function leaders;
Ensure raw material procurement based on the project schedule in SAP;
Set up and monitor control points and alert Project
Management if any of the points get delayed (long lead and final BOM
release, assembly, FAT, shipping);
Maintain cost plans and regularly monitor actual costs vs. planned costs within each project;
Evaluate and support resolution on all material quality
and supply issues. Assist in the development of recovery plans with
suppliers for defective of unsatisfactory goods;
Work closely together with the Logistics department;
Ownership of MRP;
Assist in the development and implementation of the e-sourcing plan to reduce cost and cycle time;
Coordinate Lean activities within the Materials
management team (lead Kaizen hours, organize AWOs, prepare report-out
material etc.);
Further tasks not involved in this Job Description, that the immediate leader/manager assigns with verbally or in writing;
Support GSCM Projects Leader to set warehousing related yearly goals and objectives and perform quarterly follow-up;
Accountable for supervising maintenance and update
of computerized information systems used for inventory control,
receiving materials, issuing materials;
Responsible for inventory control of the region:
Ensure that quarterly inventory target is met;
Continuous monitoring of WIP inventory;
Defining actions for inventory reduction and coordination of completion;
Preparation of inventory related business reports;
Provide support for:
Physical inventory and cycle counting;
Pull system based material replenishment (Kanban);
VOI/VMI solutions;
Integrate custom & receiving process (real time status checking possibilities).
University/High School degree in Business or Engineering;
Minimum 2 years experience in Logistics/Purchasing;
Advanced computer skills (MS Office, ERP system);
Analytical and reporting skills;
Leadership behaviour;
Customer focus (internal and external);
Willing to learn and implement new techniques and processes;
Good communication level of spoken and written Hungarian and English;
Process oriented way of thinking;
Team player behaviour, open minded and enthusiastic,;
Able to confront and work in stressful environment.
