| The role of the SIT Manager is to provide services & resources to prepare & facilitate the timely & accurate integration of the subsea work packages within subsea projects to meet the requirements of the contract & milestones. The role must interface with the Project Teams, Country Managers & Contractors required to ensure that the SIT programs are completed as planned, facilitated, executed & handed over to the Client and Country Management as appropriate to the contract schedules & budgets | |
| The Systems Integration and Testing (SIT) manager role is to:
• Manage SIT projects including resources, procedures and work instructions for SIT. • Organize and schedule events, activities and resources in accordance with current demands. • Set up and monitor costs and timelines particularly related to critical path activities and third parties. • Be accountable for SIT execution performance. • Motivate and empower others in order to reach organizational goals. • Ensure implementation of HSE policies and procedures in all activities. Provide leadership and accountability in the execution of these activities. • Monitor and evaluate project verification versus project requirements, and identify technical gaps in products and processes. • Participate in HAZOP and SAFOP reviews and where necessary give leadership to the execution of these procedures. • Participate in failure and accident investigations to determine Root Causes and disseminate conclusions and ensure they are implemented. • Undertake assessment of future projects and the required facilities to determine deliverables meet customer/market needs. Ensure Subsea Project procedures and standards can and are being applied to minimize technical and commercial risk. • Participate in meetings with clients and provide feedback as required to the Product Centers of Excellence. • Provide presentation on progress and issues on Project Performance. • Identify and justify mitigating actions to achieve project plans. • Provide leadership in the application of engineering and operational procedures. • Act as a mentor for younger staff as required • Provide / support training of staff based upon technical expertise. • Provide Leadership in SIT Execution. Work with the Project Managers and Centers of Excellence in monitoring cost and ensure costs are to plan. • Negotiate as required with customers, contractors and subcontractors to prevent variations which are not part of the agreed scope. | |
| • Master Degree Mechanical Engineering plus minimum of 4-6 years experience satisfying the requirements for charter ship, or
• Bsc/BEng/HND/HNC plus 8+ years experience minimum, equivalent to registration as a chartered engineer. • 4-6 years minimum product design experience in Oilfield Drilling Equipment and/ or Production Equipment. • Proven track record of achievement to this grade • Excellent presentation and written skills to enable clear and concise delivery of information to staff, customers, contractors other departments and supervisors. • Demonstrate a readiness to make decisions, take the initiative and originate action. • Clear understanding of the objectives relative to the project requirements and to facilitate delivery of those objectives as planned. • Demonstrate good team working abilities and arrange and manage events involving various teams • Maintain customer focus, both internal and external. | |

Strong systems and interface engineering skills based upon previous
experience of SIT and Systems Engineering within Subsea Projects.
• Detailed understanding of subsea product design basis, verification methods and product knowledge gained through significant number of years of industrial experience. • Capabilities to undertake Risk Assessment, HAZOP and Interface Engineering within the boundaries of product standards. • Knowledge and understanding of other related systems engineering skills such as Factory Acceptance Procedures, Safety and Environmental Controls. • Thorough understanding of the administration and support requirements for running a System Integration Test Site, particularly in foreign locations. |
