Service Engineer

In Prague, we’re expanding our Service Engineering team. This means we’re putting people in place that can be the subject matter experts when building, troubleshooting and supporting large scale, business critical systems.

Service Engineers work closely with Developers, Testers, and Program Managers during the pre- and post-release phases of the software development life cycle, where they are regarded for their rapid problem solving skills and composure in critical situations.


What you will do:

+ proactively deal with service issues, addressing them promptly by taking ownership and making tough decisions
+ deliver business critical information technology capabilities to online customers
+ maintain close working relationships with technical, product and business groups in all regions
+ provide high availability and performance for all managed products/services
+ provide occasional support in an on-call rotation.


Who we are looking for:

+ an engineer with experience in system administration of UNIX-based systems, specifically Debian
+ a server specialist with good knowledge of network topology and working/functioning principles
+ someone with experience in virtualized and/or cloud computing environments
+ an expert in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, PowerShell etc.)
+ an all-round technologist with knowledge of the IT systems maintenance, and IT systems security awareness.
