The Microsoft Dynamics EMEA Center of Excellence (CoE) is a select group within Microsoft Enterprise Services whose mission is to strengthen the capabilities to win and deliver successful Microsoft Dynamics engagements and to accelerate adoption in the Enterprise. The Center of Excellence for Dynamics provides delivery support in the form of architectural assistance for the top critical business solution implementations based on Dynamics AX in EMEA.

We are currently recruiting for a Solution Architect with Dynamics AX Enterprise experience who has a mix of hands on experience with business applications implementations, architectural design and strategic business acumen. Architects are key enablers for other consultants and partner staff. Solution Architects have a passion for the customer which is demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience. This is a unique opportunity for the right individual who possesses an ERP solution background and business solutions experience

The Dynamics AX Architect must apply advanced analysis skills and experience in principals of the Dynamics ERP Solution to provide detailed reliable solutions and estimates for service implementations. To be credible he or she must have current and deep experience with implementing large ERP engagements around the Microsoft platforms (Microsoft Dynamics AX). Understanding of competitive technology enables the architect to properly assess feasibility of migrating customer solutions from, and/or integrating with customer solutions hosted on, non-Microsoft platforms. Solution Architects are expected to gain and maintain effective product group relationships.

Expert level knowledge required assisting customers in evaluation, architecting, planning, testing and deploying ERP solutions including the following:
o Microsoft Dynamics AX Implementation experience
o Ability to move between high level architectural review/design and the “roll up the sleeves” level of actually doing all phases of an application delivery project
o Knowledge of full application life cycle design tools and methodologies, e.g., Sure Step
o Large enterprise deployment experience in complex heterogeneous environments
o Working knowledge of specialized tools and solution providers whether they be Microsoft partners or competitors
o Demonstrated excellence at presenting complex development topics to both executive and technical personnel
o Able to deliver effective strategic presentations to audiences of all sizes and possess excellent communication skills
o Advanced domain knowledge in one or more of the following industries: Manufacturing, Retail, Service, Distribution or Public Sector
o Proven experience selling consulting engagements which includes estimating, scoping, and writing effective statements of work that clearly set expectations and limit risk.
The Dynamics AX Solution Architect helps customer account teams identify, pursue and close strategic business development opportunities while continually driving add-on business within existing projects. To accomplish this, ERP Solution Architects must be effective in fostering executive level relationships. They also play a key role in employing, leveraging partners and Microsoft Global Delivery as part of the overall Microsoft services delivery model. Solution Architects help translate business requirements into technology requirements for inclusion in contracts and/or statements of work (SOW). In some cases the Solution Architect will also assist in contract negotiations.

The Dynamics AX Solution Architect will be required to assist or provide technical quality oversight at various points throughout a project lifecycle. To be successful, he or she must have proven experience managing projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing multi-phase/multi-dimensional/multi-resource projects to conclusion while maintaining high customer satisfaction. The role requires an individual who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both crisis management and expectation management.

The successful candidate will have a BS/MA degree as well as advanced technical selling and customer management skills.

Travel is an integral part of this position as are high levels of recognition and visibility. Travel can be as high as 70% as is demanded by the needs of our customers and our business. Position location is flexible.
