Contribute to ING's optimal service delivery
The ING International Talent Programme (IITP) is a three-year Traineeship that will help you achieve your full potential, so that you can make a real difference within ING Bank. You will be given the opportunity to learn all about ING and our business. The projects in your rotation year will enable you to gain significant expertise and experience in a short period of time.

ING’s aim is to simplify the financial services that it provides to its customers. This means that you will constantly be working to improve our services (internally and externally), so that customers’ needs are served in the best way possible at all times. Whether you are active in Risk, Commercial Banking, Retail Banking, Finance, or IT, placing the customer’s interest central is of paramount importance to you.

Training and supervision
As a Trainee, you will take part in global events with IITP trainees from abroad, where you will learn about ING and our business. With your fellow Dutch trainees, you will also take part in a general and track-specific training programme. This could include:

- personal development such as time management, presentation skills and leadership
- professional development such as CFA I, CIMA, RC or RA Master, Green Belt
- organisational development such as providing insight into strategic priorities

You will also be supervised as a Trainee. You will be given the tools and support you need to achieve your full potential during the Traineeship. You will also receive content-based support from your Manager and be appointed a mentor, a CFO of ING. He or she will challenge you and inspire you to achieve your maximum potential.

Financially substantiate ING Bank's strategic decisions
There are five tracks you can follow on the IITP. One of which is the 'Finance' track. As a Finance Trainee, you will work within Financial Accounting and Management Accounting. You will be primed to be a strategic business partner over a period of three years and you will advise ING Bank's senior management on important financial matters. You will simplify complex models, analyse ING Bank's historical data and predict the bank’s future situation. The advice you provide will concern areas such as ING Bank's strategic position in the mortgage market.

In the rotation year, you will be given serious responsibilities from day one. Your first project could be within Financial Accounting and will introduce you to Finance's core activities, give you a good basis and serve as the first building block for your future career.
You could carry out your second project in Management Accounting, for example. Your task then may be to analyse the possibilities and costs of a product. You will act as a sparring partner to the management team and provide them with the important strategic information they need to substantiate decisions.

After this year you will take up a specific post, which will enable you to further increase your knowledge. Your personal preferences and interests will largely dictate the direction you choose. For instance, you could work in a team of Management Accounting, Financial Accounting or in a team at corporate level of Capital Management or Finance Bank Treasury. From that moment on, you are able to control your own career and development.

You call the shots!
You call the shots with respect to many aspects of the IITP programme. Based on your interests, curiosity and development needs, you can state your preferences for your first project. For your next project and first position you take the initiative. Even if it's an international adventure you want - the option is there. So, you are in charge of how your IITP is designed!
Interesting employee benefits package
In addition to an excellent basic salary, a 13th month's salary and an indefinite contract, as a Trainee at ING you will be entitled to:

- 27 days' holiday;
- a discount if you choose ING Bank products, such as a mortgage or insurance;
- an attractive pension scheme;
- an annual public transport pass (OV jaarkaart).

Ambitious starters with a Master degree

- a Master degree, preferably in Accounting & Control, Business Administration or Economics
- a maximum of two years' work experience
- an excellent written and spoken knowledge of English
- a demonstrable affinity with accounting and control and financial issues, for example because you have been the treasurer of a society

You also have a "can do" mentality, the power of persuasion and you are a real team player. You have the customers’ interest on top of your mind and you are self aware. Finally, you have strong analytical skills, which are clearly evidenced by the educational results you have achieved.
