Life Science Sr Project Mgr\Consultant

Job Location: Berlin, Germany


Key Responsibilities & Duties:
· Develops, defines and leads execution of a program and all supporting project plans under the program
· Oversees projects in his/her portfolio and work with project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget and to satisfaction of the customer, IIG Consulting leadership and Account leadership
· Provides support, assistance and guidance to project managers as needed
· Resolves complex problems, anticipates change and redirects efforts as necessary
· Communicates program status, program readiness, and business issues and risks across organizations and to Sr. Management and Executives
· Ensures that plans and strategies for implementation of engagements are completed within project management standards and methodologies
· Provides technical and/or business consultative leadership for Program Management and Project Management functions
· Works closely with customer and Sales to capture Services Statement of Work
· Responsible for forecasting and timely invoicing
· Responsible for reviewing and overseeing goals and milestones within projects to ensure EMC’s commitments to customer are achieved
· Ensures that clear and concise status reports are being submitted to satisfaction of the customer and sales, in accordance with published procedures
· Ensures that for any existing or potential customer escalation issues, appropriate communications are occurring to all EMC concerned parties; proactively follows EMC escalation and change control process
· Articulates value of EMC solutions and services business benefit to the customer
· Updates customers and management regularly on overall project completion
· Work closely with IIG Regional Service Directors, Consulting Managers, Solution Principals, Practice Managers, Solution Architects and partners to develop opportunities that deliver EMC solutions and provide continual revenue
· Adheres to established standards, processes and methods to produce solutions that conform to requirements
· Follows and executes EMC’s revenue recognition rules and policies. Consults with appropriate Consulting Director to review and validate weekly revenue and utilization forecasts
Necessary Skillsets:
· Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent
· At least 5 years’ experience in relevant document management / control projects in the LifeScience industry
· Fluency in LifeScience industry processes and terminology in at least one specialization (e.g. clinical) and understanding of the industry value chain
· Demonstrated track record in leading / advising successful project implementations in at least one of the following areas: Clinical & Trial Master File, GCP Regulations; Quality & Manufacturing, GMP Regulations, Regulatory Submissions
· Solid experience in computer systems validation
· Proven project management skills with demonstrated experience in a consulting environment (budgets from $250K to $3M+)
· Experience advising & implementing on document management technologies
· Experience with formal project management techniques (i.e. formal status reporting and client communication, budget/scope management and change controls, and project team direction and technical leadership.)
· Experience with formal structured design, development and testing techniques
· Demonstrated ability to provide oversight and manage a portfolio of projects concurrently (>3), each with assigned project managers
· Consistent demonstration of taking a leadership role regarding program/project discussions, coalescing relevant information and data, and managing account stakeholders successfully
· Versed in multiple project/program management methodologies
· Deep breadth of analytical techniques, tools and approaches, i.e.SharePoint sites, Visio mapping, business cases, communications and change management plans, user stories
· Ability to successfully run a number of complex client processes, i.e. RFI/RFP selections
· Uses in-depth knowledge of customers to develop solutions
· Ability to mentor and train consulting staff regarding EMC project management processes
· Pre-Sales skills that combine delivery and business acumen
· Experience participating in or completing solution sales is preferred
· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly desired
· Advanced LifeScience Industry certifications
