Job Description
The Senior Pre-Sales Engineer’s primary responsibilities will be to support pre-sales and technical sales activities. He/she will be responsible for supporting our partners in all pre sales activities in region, including product presentations, training and supporting installations at customers’ sites. In addition to that, the role includes support in developing specific solutions to fit customer use case in the areas of VDI and server virtualization, databases, and high performance computing – at the customer sites and in the lab.
Responsibilities
• Support pre-sales and technical sales activities
• Train partners and customers on XtremIO technologies
• Install and provide ongoing support for technical evaluations at customer’s sites
• Support developing solutions using XtremIO storage in various application environments and use cases:
Server virtualization – VMware, Microsoft and others
ü VDI – VMware, Citrix and others
ü Databases
ü High performance computing
ü Additional applications identified by the CTO in conjunction with the field
Desired Skills & Experience
* Overall 10+ years of equivalent experience in pre-sale/technical sales and/or complex IT solution development
* Demonstrated pre-sales/technical sales track record
* Extensive knowledge and experience in the enterprise IT infrastructure and storage space is required, along with a broad understanding of the enterprise software world
* In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with virtualization platforms and VDI solutions including VMware, Citrix and Microsoft
* In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with enterprise databases and high performance computing
* Hands-on lab and hardware management experience a big plus
* Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
* Experience working in a rapidly growing entrepreneurial, dynamic environments
* Education: MS or BS in CS, CE, EE or related fields
* Ability to travel extensively
