Required Skills:

5+ years in a lead data management role as an individual contributor; 8+ years overall data management experience. Understanding of all aspects of clinical data management. 1+ years experience in a consulting or vendor environment (any role). 

Demonstrates working knowledge of regulatory guidelines such as GCP and 21 CFR part 11. Also demonstrates working knowledge of industry practices such as GDMP. Demonstrates knowledge of industry data standards such as CDASH, CDISC, ICD-9, and HL7.

Exhibits logical thinking, exquisite attention to detail, strong organizational skills, the ability to anticipate problems, and a pro-active nature and ability to resolve issues that do arise. Upholds quality and displays the highest degree of integrity in daily workings to protect the accuracy and privacy of personal health information.

Possesses excellent written/oral communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates customer focus to exceed client expectations, cultivating long-term relationships. Has ability to express a positive attitude and deal with a range of personality types. Influences internal and external clients without authority.


4+ years of project management experience. Ability to coordinate a small group of individuals (peers). 

Working knowledge of various data management and related systems, such as Medrio, Medidata Rave, Oracle Clinical, Phase Forward, Outcome Logix, Omnicomm, or OpenClinica. Familiarity with Microsoft Access, IVRS systems, lab data systems, and other third party software. Ability to learn and conduct work in new client and internal systems quickly.

Desired Education:

BachelorĂ¢€™s degree in a scientific discipline such as mathematics, biology, nursing, or hospital administration.

Desired Skills:

Certified Clinical Data Manager (CCDM)
Knowledge of SAS base software
Knowledge of SQL programming
Prior CRO experience
Prior sponsor experience


Positions in this function are responsible for managing clinical studies and assisting other functions as appropriate in execution of their tasks. Updates process as necessary to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
