Role Summary/Purpose	The desired Mechanical Engineer will develop cooling solutions and mechanical parts for our board level products such as COM Express as well for our system products such as ruggedized industrial PCs. As a consequence of doing that cooling plates, heat sink, and chassis will be develop using CAD tools. All our products need to be reliable and rugged due to the environment they are subject to. High shock and vibration levels and extreme temperature conditions are required.
Essential Responsibilities	Design heat sinks and cooling plates for board level products using CAD • Designing chassis for system level products as well for customized products • Create part and assembly drawings for board and system level mechanical parts • Support of production as well as purchase during new product introductions • Work out of cooling solutions for our products • Support of hardware colleagues about placement and available build space
Qualifications/Requirements	Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronic Engineering (Bachelor of Science/FH Degree mandatory, Master/University Degree preferred) • Strong technical skills • Demonstrated experience in mechanical designs using CAD systems like (SolidEdge, SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, Catia) • Self-motivated and results-oriented • Good self management
Desired Characteristics	• Knowledge in thermal analysis ideally experience with the CFD tool Flotherm • Track record of successful accomplishment in development projects • Demonstrated experience in mechanical designs • High Bandwidth with a strong ability to multiplex • Good verbal and written English & German communication skills • Team player with professional/positive personal presence • Additional experience in leading technical discussions with customers to identify appropriate specifications • Solid understanding of electrical design
