Business Analyst to join a leading Financial Services company located in
Dublin City Centre.
Our client, a leading Financial Services
company, has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join
their Dublin City Centre team. The successful candidate will have 8
years experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably in
Funds, Asset Management and/of Life Insurance, and 5 years experience in
a Business Analyst role.

- To deliver high, medium and low level requirements gathering phases for identified change/project deliveries.
- To assist the business stakeholders in the prioritisation and phasing of requirements across various projects and to manage any conflicting issues and priorities between stakeholders.
- To design and develop detailed functional and non-functional system requirements.
- To take responsibility for the management of changes throughout the course of a project.
- To lead feasibility studies and presentations to senior management as required.
- To coordinate, facilitate and drive the established in-house project management process for selected cross functional change initiatives and projects.
- To chair monthly meetings and prepare reports for the Board of Directors in relation to the governance and control of projects.
- To formalise and document all functional aspects of the systems in use by various departments in collaboration with the host department and third party providers.
- To liaise with the Compliance, Risk and Internal Audit department to ensure that all corporate governance documents are kept up to date.
Requirements:
- Qualified to Masters level in a relevant technical discipline.
- PMP, Prince2, Agile (DSDM / Scrum), CBAP or ISEB BA certifications or equivalent are a distinct advantage
- A minimum of 8 years experience in Financial Services ideally in Funds, Asset Management and/or Life Insurance, with at least 5 years’ experience in a Business Analyst role.
- Relevant experience working in a BA capacity for the implementation of business intelligence projects.
- Significant exposure to change management and project management in financial organisations.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills.
- Strong PC skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Access, Visio, Project, Word and PowerPoint.
- Have a keen understanding of Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies along with a working knowledge of one or more recognised analysis methodologies.
- An in depth knowledge of regulatory issues within the asset management and life insurance industries.
- Good working knowledge of RDMS. Skills in SQL, Master Data Management, SSIS, SSAS, ErWIn, IBM Cognos 10 a distinct advantage.
- Working knowledge of the Italian language would be an advantage.
