Active independent small cap buyout fund seeking CFO to join their team in Munich

About our client
Our client is a highly successful lower mid cap / small cap buyout firm based in Munich. They have a strong senior leadership team and a dynamic culture. The firm recently held a successful fundraising exercise and is active in the market for new investments.

Responsibilities

• To manage the portfolio and firm reporting (monthly / quarterly / year end), including trend analysis, KPI and reports to investors
• Responsibility for the systems and controls, including IT and the liquidity / treasury management of the firm
• You will also support top management in the ongoing development of the business, and contribute to the analysis of new deals, but this position is NOT part of the investment team

Skills we’re looking for

• Strong academic record
• Minimum 5 years experience in controlling or accounting, either within a professional services advisory firm, a corporate group or another PE firm
• Excellent accounting and IT knowledge and a structured, analytical approach to work. You will need to be a highly motivated self-starter
• Experience in fund accounting and / or fund administration is especially valuable
• Team player with leadership potential and good communication skills; native German and fluent English
