The Program Manager acts as an Engine Model Manager for GEAC. Provides engine systems and design integration leadership across engineering and other functions for an engine model platform, and reports to the GEAC Engine Systems Manager. The position is responsible for integration of engineering design activities associated with product development, manufacturing and field support through all phases of the turboprop product lifecycle for the assigned engine platform.
  • Provides technical & program leadership for all engineering activities for engine model platform
  • Negotiates, defines & flows down technical requirements
  • Defines program plans - resources, cost and schedule - for assigned programs
  • Ensures overall technical integration of design activities meets technical and regulatory requirements
  • Ensures appropriate technical and program reviews are conducted for assigned programs
  • Manages risk to ensure assigned programs meet schedule and cost objectives
  • Serves as engineering interface for platform to other Departments
  • Drives resolution of safety items related to platform
  • Ensures clear communication of status and issues within GEAC
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college of Science or Engineering
  • At least 5 years’ experience in mechanical design or analysis of gas turbine engines or components
  • Technical experience in more than one area of gas turbine design and/or analysis
  • Engineering project management experience with responsibility for outcome, cost and schedule
  • Experience supporting a significant engineering program
  • Master’s degree in Engineering
  • Ability to lead multi-functional and multi-cultural teams
  • Experience in certification under EASA Part 21 or FAA requirements
  • Experience with NPI,TOPS-8D, DFSS, DFR
  • Ability to initiate total quality and change initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
